Granny square crochet is so much fun, and the possibilities are literally endless, blankets, bags, pillows, scarves, mitts, sweaters, etc. This is a perfect next step class if you've taken Crochet 101. Basic crochet knowledge required: chaining, slip stitch, double crochet. You will learn magic loop, working in the round to make a square, and seamless color changes. You will also learn how to use locking stitch markers, how to put them together - three different methods, and much more! Please come by the shop a few days prior to class date to choose your yarns and have them wound for use. Ages 18 & up only!
Welcome to the wonderful world of sock knitting. Socks 101 is an excellent opportunity to make friends with DPN’s. You will learn how to knit socks one-at-a-time top down using DPN’s or Magic Loop. The pattern is inclusive of both DK & Fingering sock yarn. However, we suggest beginning with DK yarn and US 3 needles for first time sock knitters, for ease of handling. This class will teach knitting in the round, ribbing, German Twisted cast on, changing colors, the anatomy of the sock and how to knit it, plus the Kitchener stitch. Basic knitting skills are required: Must know how to cast on, knit stitch, & purl stitch. The class is taught in four 2-hour sessions. Please purchase pattern and bring printed pattern to first class meeting.
