Have you noticed all of a sudden, It's HIP to be square? Have you always admired granny squares? If yes, then come join us and learn to crochet granny squares from a written and charted pattern. Granny square crochet is so much fun, and the possibilities are literally endless, blankets, bags, pillows, scarves, mitts, sweaters, etc. This is a perfect next step class if you've taken Crochet 101. Basic crochet knowledge required: chaining, slip stitch, double crochet. You will learn magic loop, working in the round to make a square, and seamless color changes. You will also learn how to use locking stitch markers, how to put them together - three different methods, and much more! Please come by the shop a few days prior to class date to choose your yarns and have them wound for use. Ages 18 & up only!

It’s Pumpkin Season! And we’ll be stitching up some gorgeous Wheat Stitch Pumpkin Spice Crochet pumpkins to decorate your table, house, or for gifting. The pattern has three sizes: small, medium, & Large. They can be stacked for a super cute display. Basic crochet knowledge is required: chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet. In this class you will learn: BLO -back loop only and the wheat stitch and basic soft sculpture construction. First class meeting will focus on the Wheat stitch and making the fabric for your pumpkin. Make some more or finish up during the week in between. Second session will be putting it all together. Come join us for some Pumpkin Spice fun!

I absolutely adore cats, and like a lot of us knitters you’ll be smitten too! These super cute color work, fingerless mitts come in three sizes based on hand circumference: 6 1/2”, 7 3/4”, 8 3/4”. They are knitted from the cuff upwards. Worked in the round with magic loop or DPN’s, your choice? Basic knitting skills are required: Must know how to cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, & bind off. You will learn stranded color work, M1L, K2tog. This is an excellent opportunity to use those mini skeins you’ve been saving for something special. Also have a great selection of mini skeins in the shop! So, come join in the fun and knit your own set of kitten mitts.

This is a perfect first project to master the fundamental stitches of crochet and build your crochet knowledge. In this three-session class, you will learn how to read a basic crochet pattern, how to hold your hook and yarn, the chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet stitches. You will be making a scarf to practice these stitches, which develops muscle memory. Plus, you will be taught tips and tricks to keep your crochet stitches straight and looking great.
