We are kicking off Yarn Crawl with our good friends from The Yarnover Truck!  Check out their new exclusive color which you can pick up on the Truck on the 1st day of LA Yarn Crawl when you visit us Thursday!

Friday will be a BIG day for give aways at The Altered Stitch!  There will be surprise grab bags won by random drawings from Noon to 5pm.* 

Join us Friday Night for a good ole' "Knit & Natter"!  We've just added some live music to Friday night's line up! We'll also be dishing up hors d'oeuvres along with one of our BIGGEST give aways this Yarn Crawl!

We've put together a SWEET basket of goodies including the "Sail Shawl" kit by Sweet Georgia, knitting needles by Lantern Moon, yarn from, Art Yarns, Anzula Luxury Fibers, Zen Yarn Garden, & Araucania, as well as stitch markers and other notions!  Friday's Grand Prize will be given to one lucky raffle winner* (*All winners must be present to win.*)

Saturday is a day for celebrating fiber artists of all kinds!  Designers, and Demos, and Trunk Shows, OH MY!

We're thrilled to announce that designer Anthony Caselena will be at The Altered Stitch for a trunk show!  Anthony will be joining us from 11am to 5pm & he'll be giving demos on his famed Figure 8 stitch, which appears in many of his beautiful shawl pattern designs!  Figure 8 Stitch demonstrations at 12pm & 3pm.

The Altered Stitch is psyched to welcome "Indie Dyer" Joyce Hethcox of The Flying Kettle Dyeworks!  We are so excited that Joyce is able to make the journey to our little Yarn Shop in Valley Village all the way from Georgia to join us for our very first yarn crawl!  Just a heads up...[a little birdie told me she's created a very special Flying Kettle Limited Edition colorway just for LA Yarn Crawl 2015 which will only be available at The Altered Stitch! Mary & Leah will be introducing a fiber art that's brand new to The Altered Stitch! Needle felting!!!  Join Mary & Leah for this make & take session and learn how to needle felt a cute little heart featuring products from Going Gnome! Needle felting Make & Take sessions at 1:30pm & 4pm.  (*Supplies for the make & take sessions are free & limited.)

In honor of Anthony & Joyce being with us, we've added another big gift basket give away.  Drawing is at 5pm with Anthony & Joyce doing the honors! *must be present to win.

Sunday is our SPA themed day!  Relax and rest with us as we close out the 2015 L.A. County Yarn Crawl by kicking back with friends for Tea Time (or coffee:) & treats!  We will also be offering FREE massage from 12:00pm - 3:00 pm!!! Ahhhhhhhh.

We'll be featuring products by Wool Tree Mill throughout Yarn Crawl!  Your favorite Altered Stitch guy, James will be giving a demo at 12pm on how to use the Wool Tree Mill's Lucets to make a fun corded  bracelet that you can take with you! *Supplies are limited.

Leah & Mary will be kicking off a KAL for The Altered Slouch at 3pm!  Our free knitting pattern available all 4 days of Yarn Crawl.  This pattern was designed especially for us by published knit & crochet designer Grace Akhrem. Keep tabs on our Instagram feed to see sneek peeks of The Altered Slouch pattern as well as visual updates on all of our Yarnie plans!
